What is Olde Town Grove City?

Olde Town Grove City is non-profit organization committed to creating a better downtown Grove City through economic initiatives, promotional efforts and physical improvements

Olde Town is based on the Four-Point Approach by the National Trust for Historic Preservation:

Design
The improvement and enhancement of the physical environment of Olde Town.

Promotion
The development of a strong, well-trained entity whose responsibility is to provide the support to implement the four-point approach.

Organization
The development of a strong, well-trained entity whose responsibility is to prove the support to implement the Four-Point Approach.

Economic Restructuring
Creating a business environment that directs investment in Olde Town by supporting exiting businesses, recruiting new businesses and providing entrepreneurial opportunities.

               
                

        Olde Town Grove City’s Parade of Trees pairs 25 Olde Town merchants with 25 non-profit organizations to stock the Grace Food Pantry. Simply place any non-perishable item by your favorite tree with one of the participating organizations downtown and your “vote” counts toward the winning tree. The non-proft tree with the most items wins $100...and the Grace Food Pantry and the community of Grove City win the most of all! Visit one of the following Olde Town destinations to make your donations:

  Annual Christmas concerts find new temporary home in Pew Fine Arts Center Recital Hall The annual Grove City College Carnegie Christmas Concert Series is scheduled for 12:15 to 1 p.m. Dec. 1-5. The annual event, hosted by the Carnegie Alumni Center, is free and open to the public. Due to Carnegie construction, the concerts will be held this year in the 300-seat Recital Hall of the Pew Fine Arts Center on upper campus.  Each day, different campus musicians will perform half-hour concerts celebrating the season. The lineup includes:  
  • Monday, Dec. 1: Saxophone Quartet and Woodwind Quintet
  • Tuesday, Dec. 2: String quartet and Cello Ensemble
  • Wednesday, Dec. 3: Touring Choir and Chamber Singers
  • Thursday, Dec. 4: Vocal Soloists
  • Friday, Dec. 5: Trombone Choir and Gallery Brass
 Performances are coordinated by Dr. Edwin Arnold, chair of the department of music and fine arts. Complimentary light refreshments and hot beverages will be served. Parking for the concerts will be available off the College’s Madison Avenue or East Main Street entrances.

12-6-08 Senior Recital: Ashley Hawkins, piano & Percussion and Julie Kulin, trumpet & voice. Recital Hall, Pew Fine Arts 2:00-3:30pm 

12-14-08 Christmas Candlelight Service, Haribson Chapel 6:30-7:30pm and 8:30-9:30pm
